Bairds Malt participates in the Maltsters' Association of Great Britain (MAGB) testing programme to monitor levels of potential contaminants. Samples of barley grain are submitted according to the testing schedule to Campden-BRi for residual pesticide screening. All results can be viewed on the MAGB website. An internal programme of testing is also done to monitor levels of mycotoxins and heavy metals on barley from each harvest year.
Our due diligence results over recent years indicate that levels for residual pesticides, mycotoxins, and heavy metals are well below the maximum permissible limits.
